2562 - 2005 Ford F550 Turbo Diesel
This is the primary response vehicle for grassy, field, brush, and wooded-area fires. The truck was originally a 1972 Ford 4x4 Single Rear Wheel. It was taken to Spike's Service and made a dual rear wheel truck. A John Bean/FMC drop-on high pressure unit and 250 gallon tank were added to the truck also. In 2005, the truck was re-built and the chassis was turned into the F550 Turbo Diesel. The 250 gallon tank was replaced with a 300 gallon tank at that time. Since the pump is not PTO driven, this truck has pump-and-roll capabilities. This truck also carries backpack-style water tanks, shovels, axes, and various other equipment necessary for grassy-type fires.
